11/18/2023 0 Comments Wow 9.1 release dateThe aesthetic of the new zone reflects the primordial building blocks of that construction. The Shadowlands expansion of World of Warcraft has been afterlife-themed, and Zereth Mortis is the home of the “First Ones,” the Progenitors who built all of the different afterlives of the Shadowlands (and the living worlds as well). In Eternity’s End, players will chase the Jailer – the expansion’s big bad guy – into the new zone of Zereth Mortis. “I think we’re also being very mindful of the sorts of things that are earned in the system – types of power that may feel mandatory to certain play styles, and also what that looks like from a catch-up perspective, an alt-friendliness perspective,” he continues. While it offers a knowledge system, where players collect bits of information around the game world to unlock new features, content and abilities, it will be “not remotely as grindy” as Korthia was, Hazzikostas tells us. The new zone of Zereth Mortis is more than double the size of Korthia, the last zone introduced in the 9.1 patch. The content update doesn’t have a release date yet, but Hazzikostas tells USA Today that it will hit the Public Test Realm for players to jump into as soon as this week. We spoke to game director Ion Hazzikostas and senior level designer Sara Wons about the upcoming changes. It could also mark a potential end to the game’s content drought. As always, Torghast raid mogs won’t farm themselves :)Īnd damn it, I need me some new WoW content :) Azeroth (and beyond) is home, I never get tired of saying that.World of Warcraft ’s 9.2 Eternity’s End patch will bring a new zone, a new raid, new class-specific armor tier sets and new systems for players to try out. Maybe I will play both games simultaneously – with the Japanese neighbor title as a relief pastime between the heavy WoW grinds. I’ve a couple of weeks until Chains of Domination to decide on the fate of FFXIV, but I seem to like it more and more as I advance. Meanwhile, I put aside AC: Valhalla until the next lull times as a moderately interesting, but not totally fun game, and playing FFXIV now. It’s just all other schedule scenarios would be Blizzard’s doom – if schedules drift towards delay, of course. A year would be quite plausible and sufficient to nuke the hell out of the final raid and earn all the mogs and whatnots for anima. And February 2022 / Blizzconline would be the best time to announce the next expansion and launch PTR, with a goal of Autumn 2022 to leave the realm of the dead. I wonder how the future of Shadowlands would look like in terms of schedule? It’s impossible to predict, but if I were Blizzard, I would release the final patch 9.2. I think a week before the patch I’ll start logging in again for a round of emissary quests or such – just to remember how to fight and walk in Azeroth :) Needless to say, I’m rushing into Azeroth afterlife at the moment it goes live. As stated above, the release date does not seem rushed, but rather pretty much planned. Covid or not, FFXIV or not, Blizzard had more than enough time to cobble up the patch sequel. Still, some speculations exist whether a recent drift of streamers and influencers to FFXIV played its role, but let’s hope not. Most predicted as far as in March/April already that it’ll be late June/early July (me included), it’s about a month between TBCC release and patch release, and news headlines from PTR recently report about polishing things rather than some major work. will be released on June 29/30 depending on the region – that is, less than two weeks from now.
